Cultural Week

It is a tradition among Explora groups at the National University of Colombia to have an intercultural week. Throughout this week, each group has to show the project that as a team they developed. For us, it was quite difficult to choose what to do for this event since we had plenty of ideas, and we liked them all.

After days of cussing about what we were going to do, one of our classmates had the most brilliant idea: to recreate iconic musical scenes from the movies that marked our childhood. We divided into three groups and the three movies that we decided to work on were Mulan, Coco, and Shrek 2; as for the activity, all the members had to appear in the video either singing or acting. Mulan's group worked on "Honor To Us All" and "A Girl Worth Fighting For", the group working on Coco gave a little summary of the movie and performed "Remember Me", and the song for Shrek 2 was "I Need A Hero".

When the big day came, we showed our video to the rest of the English groups of Explora after some of them had presented their activities. We were scared, but in the end, it all turned out well and everyone liked it. 

The best part of this task was all the fun we had creating the videos and watching the final result. We thought that due to the pandemic, it would have been a boring task, but we managed to make it fun and exciting for all of us.
