This was one of our last activities, We prepared a presentation of a health issue related to our major degree. The health issue could be one taken as a professional one or a phobia you should not suffer.
The presentation had to include a Description, Symptoms, Famous Cases, and Treatment that had to be focused on How we could help someone who suffered it, from our major degree.
Also, we read the rubrics before starting to work on the activity to follow all prompts.
The following are some topics presented in the exposures:
Anxiety is a feeling of fear or restlessnes, it can be a normal reaction to stress, but for people with anxiety disorders the fear is not temporary and it can be overwhelming.
Some symptoms are: Rapid heart rate, Difficulty Concentrating, Nausea or gastrointestinal problems, Increased or heavy sweating, hyperventilation, Trembling or muscle twitching.
Anxiety disorders should be treated with psychological therapy, pharmacotherapy.
Common symptoms of fight-or-flight include: rapid heartbeat, trembling, sweating, nausea or vomiting, shortness of breath or hyperventilating, dizziness, muscle tension, urge to get away.

Social Anxiety: also called social anxiety disorder (SAD) or social phobia, is an intense fear of being judged negatively by others. It’s a mental health condition that leads to depression, embarrassment, feelings of inadequacy, self-consciousness and inferiority. Treatment includes psychotherapy and medications.
Hematophobia: is an abnormal and persistent fear of blood, Blood may remind them of their own vulnerability to injury and of the eventuality of death.
Some sufferers of hematophobia experience a typical phobic reaction characterized by an increase in blood pressure and heart rate. Other sufferers experience an atypical phobic reaction characterized by a decrease in blood pressure and heart rate, causing paleness and weakness.
These were some of the topics exposed. With this activity, we practiced our speaking, grammar, pronunciation, listening, and comprehension. Further, we learned how to make better presentations and speak in public.
