Food and cooking

"Food and cooking" was the first unit that we saw in the Explora, this unit is important because we learned several things that we need to talk about in common conversations in English.

We learned in this unit vocabulary and phrasal verbs related to food and cooking, remembered the use of present simple and present continuous, and finally knew about action and non-action verbs.

        

We did several activities, like:

-Develop guidebook exercises: We related the vocabulary with the respective image. Besides, we read the reading of Dr. Paul Clayton, about how our mood is affected by the food, and then We shared our opinions about the subject. Too, We watched the Steve Andersen's restaurant video to understand the restaurant atmosphere, moreover, We listened to an interview with Steve Anderson and then answered some questions, this activity allowed us to improve our listening and comprehension.

In addition we played in the Ratatouille segment, we watched the video and answered some  questions related to the senses and flavors.

Other activity was collect some images related to the food that we like or dislike eating.

Last activity, We had to find some elements related with food and cooking vocabulary in our kitchen and we wrote a list.
